As a self taught artist, when asked for a bio, Teri is always at a loss for words. “Why do I paint? To explore, to see, to learn, to express the world around me”. Teri has always painted and sketched and can’t imagine not.
Teri used to painted exclusively with oil but then found her love of pastels. She loves the vibrancy, immediacy, versatility and portability of this medium.
With her profession as a horticulturalist, Teri finds inspiration in the outdoors — in how things grow, how light plays on everything, and all the shapes and colours that nature has to offer.
