Born in England, now living in Victoria, Linda loves painting the natural beauty she finds around Victoria and Vancouver Island. Linda works mainly in acrylics and finds painting to be uplifting and a relaxing meditation. She mostly paints from her own photographs taken on trips and locally, because being present in that moment helps instill into her paintings how the scene makes her feel. She paints landscapes, seascapes and outdoor scenes often including local buildings. She is also drawn to painting boats and is fascinated by the play of light and shadow particularly around boats and water.
