Linda is a multiple award-winning artist whose images have been published in many books and magazines. Her work is inspired by the extraordinary beauty seen in the world around us. Loss, the passage of time, and the ephemeral nature of life are themes she finds deeply moving. These subjects naturally lend themselves to treatments involving ambiguity, suggestion and symbolism. Evocative images connect people with nature in a way that highlights the need for preserving the natural world and its creatures.
Linda’s curiosity and drive to create have led her down many artistic paths. Although she loves the freedom and flow of Chinese Brush painting and watercolour, she enjoys exploring collage, mixed media, printmaking, art photography and fibre art. She also writes haiku and incorporates haiku into tiny book necklaces, small handmade journals and other artwork.
Linda has participated in many local shows and venues, including the Sooke Fine Art Show, Moss Street Paint-In, SPAC Spring Show, Coast Collective and the ArtSea Gallery in Sidney. See Linda’s Facebook site for more information.
