Kari describes herself as an emerging artist who enjoys spending time in the forests and on the beaches of Vancouver Island. Kari is known for her realistic depictions of bird life, her bright, abstract florals, textured landscapes and painted marine buoys. Rather than paint in a completely realistic style, Kari likes to add unexpected colour, marks and textures to hold a viewer’s attention. Lately Kari has been painting original acrylic art on canvas bags and creating art with sea glass, shells and resin – iconically West Coast!
Kari works out of her “She Shed” studio surrounded by the ocean and rain forest in beautiful Victoria, BC.
