Kari describes herself as an emerging artist who enjoys spending time in the forests and on the beaches of Vancouver Island. Kari is known for her realistic depictions of bird life, her bright, abstract florals, textured landscapes and painted marine buoys. Rather than paint in a completely realistic style, Kari likes to add unexpected colour, marks and textures to hold a viewer’s attention. Kari works out of her “She Shed” studio surrounded by the ocean and rain forest in beautiful Victoria, BC. Kari is one of the organizers of the Saanich Scattered Artists Tour.
