Creative fabric art is Heather’s artistic avenue, and she specializes in wall hangings and wearables. Her first love is colour, especially used with texture and her inspiration comes from our beautiful environment. Heather works mostly in silk, with a basis in free motion quilting, and she loves to paint silk as well.
Heather has served in several art related positions, including President for Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts, on the Board of Directors for the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula, as well as initiating the First Nations Invitational Art Shows, and serving in supporting positions for the Sidney Fine Art Show.
Heather’s work has been juried into several shows, and she has won prizes for her work:
