The power and beauty of nature and the colour and delicacy of growing things, continually inspire Clare, and she never tires of experimenting in watercolour to try to express the awe that nature brings. While Clare’s first love is watercolour, she is experimenting with other mediums such as alcohol inks and acrylics, and new ways of adding texture to watercolour. Clare is mostly self-taught but has taken some community art courses in Victoria, where she is a member of the Studio 30 art club, and in Burnaby, BC, where she was a member of the Burnaby Artists’ Guild.
