Barb began as a Watercolour artist but more recently began to explore the world of mixed media abstract, which has uncovered a hidden passion for exploring this wonderful way of artistic expression. Barb uses an intuitive approach, especially in the beginning-painting in response to what is there and making adjustments along the way, following the principles of design, value & colour. This provides her the freedom to paint more from how she feels, rather than from what she sees (ie, using a reference).
